Procurement of Industrial Equipment: New Training Offer.
We are happy to announce we have re-structured our #Procurement Training offer to make it richer and more effective, strengthening #Adinergy's position in Supply Chain Management.
1. Procurement of Industrial Equipment: The Fundamentals:
In the Upstream Oil & Gas industry, Procurement has evolved from a transactional purchasing activity into a strategic function that directly supports operational continuity, cost efficiency and value creation.
This course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Procurement function and its integration within the wider Supply Chain. It explores the complete Procurement Process, from the identification and definition of needs through supplier qualification, tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation, award, expediting and vendor performance evaluation.
Participants also develop an understanding of responsible purchasing, compliance, ethics, CSR and local content considerations.
The program introduces the key contractual provisions governing Purchase Orders, including warranties, liabilities, transfer of risk and title, penalties, insurance and dispute resolution.
A dedicated section addresses International Freight Forwarding, which is a permanent challenge in Energy Projects so that Integrity of Critical Equipment is preserved, and Lead-Times are reduced and controlled.
In this instance, the course introduces digitalization and emerging Supply Chain technologies such as end-to-end tracking, real-time monitoring, forecasting and collaborative data sharing. Through practical exercises, case studies and interactive learning, participants acquire the fundamental knowledge and good practices required to contribute effectively to secure, efficient and responsible procurement operations.
This course is now available in the 3 Learning modes proposed by Adinergy: Class-Learning - Live-Learning - E-learning.
2. Procurement of Industrial Equipment: Strategy & Negotiation:
Market Strategy & Negotiation is an advanced course designed to strengthen the strategic and negotiation capabilities of experienced procurement professionals.
It positions Procurement as a value-creation function supported by market intelligence, cost analysis, supplier strategy and effective contracting.
Participants explore the strategic tools available to Buyers, including Responsible Purchasing, Cost Structure Analysis and Category Management.
The program develops practical approaches to market analysis through SWOT, Porter’s Five Forces, the Kraljic Matrix and the identification of purchasing leverages.
It also addresses Vendor Strategy, Frame Agreements and Frame Contracts as instruments for building effective and sustainable supplier relationships.
A dedicated module considers Procurement within projects, including EPC environments, Long Lead Items, Critical Equipment, spare parts and complex industrial equipment.A major focus of the course is DIDACTIC, the negotiation methodology developed by Adinergy to provide Buyers with a structured and disciplined approach to negotiation.
DIDACTIC splits the negotiation process into two major phases: Preparation and Negotiation, ensuring that decisions are based on analysis rather than improvisation.
During the negotiation phase, DIDACTIC provides practical guidance for confronting arguments through active listening, active talking, behavioural analysis and stress and emotion management.
Particular emphasis is placed on reciprocity, teaching Buyers to obtain a counterpart for concessions and avoid agreements that destroy value.
Extensive exercises and realistic business cases enable participants to apply the tools and practice the complete DIDACTIC methodology in negotiation situations by combining procurement strategy with Adinergy’s structured negotiation.
