Overview: 90% of international trade is transported by sea. Maritime transport is still growing but faces deep challenges linked to the increase of protectionism, trade tensions and necessity for the sector to reduce the Green House Gas emissions.
80% of the Upstream Industry activity is operated offshore: We go farer and deeper in the search of new resources. Marine activity is subject to very strict international Rules and Regulations related to the Safety of Personnel and Vessels, the reduction of its impact on Environment and the integrity of the Assets.

Audience: All personnel involved in Offshore Operations: Logisticians, HSE Personnel, Project Engineer, Seafarers and Marine Supervisors or Superintendents having need to refresh the HSE requirements in all aspects of Marine Operations.

Deliverables: Upon completion of this course, Trainees will have acquired a full knowledge of the Health, Safety, and Environment challenges and elements of Marine/Offshore Operations. From Shore to Offshore Site, they will be able to manage the Safety of Marine Operations.

Certificate: The training will be completed by an online test on EvalBox. Upon completion of the training, including the test, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance issued by Adinergy.

  1. Section 1 of the course introduces the Maritime Transport worldwide, the HSSE aspects, the Maritime Transport incidents in the Offshore industry, the Maritime Transport Logistics Elements. The Inland Waterway elements for HSE consideration.
  2. Section 2: Risk Management in Marine Operations: The section reminds the key levels of Risk Management: Risk Assessment - Permit to Work - Tool Box Talk - Management of Change.
  3. Section 3 describes the H2SE aspects of the Ashore Installations and Operations: Ports & Terminals – Supply Base – Transfer of Materials. 
    What are the Hazards in Ashore Operations and how to reduce the Risks associated to these operations?
  4. Section 4 describes the H2SE aspects of the Offshore Installations and Operations: In Transit – On Site: Logistics for Floating Installations – Accommodation of Personnel – Dynamic Positioning – Berthing Offshore – Transfer of Personnel – Transfer of Materiel – Transfer of product. 
    What are the Hazards in Offshore Operations and how to reduce the risks associated to these operations?
  5. Section 5 describes the Collision Risk Management: Process - Restricted Navigation Zones - Collision Risk Reduction.
  6. Section 6 adresses some specific HSE aspects of inland waterways.
