Introduction to the Supply Chain and Service Contract in the Upstream Industry.

Overview:
This module introduces the fundamental principles of Supply Chain Management and Service Contracts in the Upstream Oil & Gas Industry, highlighting their role in supporting Exploration and Production (E&P) activities.
The first section examines the Supply Chain in the Manufacturing Industry, defining its main components and illustrating how materials, equipment and information flow from suppliers to end users.
The second section focuses on the specific characteristics of the Upstream Oil & Gas Supply Chain, from equipment manufacturers to remote exploration and production sites. Through practical examples and an exercise, participants identify the similarities and differences between manufacturing and upstream supply chains, particularly in terms of geographical complexity, operational constraints and logistics requirements.
The third section introduces the fundamentals of Service Contracts, starting with the definition of a contract and an overview of the different types of contracts used in the upstream industry. Particular attention is given to the different types of contractual obligations and their implications for the relationship between operators and service providers.

Audience:
Contract Engineers, Contracts Administrators, any actor involved in the relationship between the Company and the Contractors of a Service Contract.
All "Contracts Owners" of Service Contracts from technical departments will find it necessary to better understand the philosophy of the Operator/Contractor relationship and better use the contract to optimize its execution and performance.

Deliverables:
By the end of the module, participants will have a better understanding of upstream supply chain organization and the contractual principles governing the provision of technical and logistics services.

This course will be opened and closed by an on-line evaluation allowing Instructor and Participants to evaluate the knowledge acquisition.
A Certificate of attendance will be remitted upon completion of Training and Evaluatio.
